This Privacy Policy explains how Webseo ("Webseo", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). Webseo is a SEO content-automation platform that helps you generate content, research keywords, manage credits, and publish to connected platforms such as Shopify.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information — name, email address, password, and organisation details you provide when registering.

  • Billing information — details required to process payments. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor (CHIP); we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

  • Content and inputs — keywords, prompts, topics, site details, and other content you submit to generate or publish material.

  • Communications — messages you send to our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, credits consumed, and actions taken within the Service.

  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamps, and referring URLs.

  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyse usage. See Section 6.

1.3 Information From Connected Services

When you connect a third-party account (for example, Shopify or a search-data provider), we receive access tokens and the data necessary to perform the actions you request, such as publishing content or retrieving keyword and ranking data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process transactions and manage your credit balance;

  • Publish content to platforms you have connected;

  • Authenticate users and secure accounts;

  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates;

  • Monitor usage, prevent abuse, and improve the Service;

  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers — hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing (e.g. CHIP) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

  • AI and data providers — third-party model and search-data providers used to generate content and keyword insights based on your inputs.

  • Connected platforms — services you authorise, such as Shopify, to fulfil publishing actions.

  • Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Webseo, our users, or others.

  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 7.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, maintain sessions, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy
